A Little Science

Skin tightening treatments use controlled thermal energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin (the dermis). This heat stimulates collagen denaturation and neocollagenesis:

  • Collagen fibers contract when heated to an optimal temperature.

  • The body responds by building new collagen and elastin, the proteins responsible for firmness, elasticity, and support.

  • Over time, this leads to tighter, smoother, and more lifted-looking skin.

The energy targets water in the tissue, creating a precise thermal effect without damaging the surface of the skin. As the dermis remodels itself, the skin becomes firmer from the inside out.

How many treatments?

We recommend at least 3–6 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart.

  • Mild laxity may respond in fewer sessions.

  • Clients seeking more dramatic tightening or treating body areas will require additional sessions.

We offer this service in packages of 3 or 6 sessions, as skin tightening works gradually by stimulating collagen remodeling beneath the surface. Because collagen production is a slow, natural biological process, results build over time and become most visible over several months.

This treatment provides subtle, progressive improvement, it is not a replacement for a surgical facelift and will not create dramatic lifting after a single session. Instead, you can expect steady tightening, smoother texture, and improved firmness with consistency.

To maintain and continue supporting collagen production, maintenance sessions every 6–12 months is recommended.

Before Your Appointment

Results

Immediate Results:

  • No self-tanner or tanning beds for 4 weeks prior

  • No prolonged sun exposure for 4 weeks prior

  • No retinol or strong exfoliants for 3–5 days

  • No Injectable appointments (Botox/fillers) within 2-4 weeks of treatment on the same area

  • Hydrate well 24–48 hours before your session

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin

  • Let us know if you are pregnant, using Accutane, or have a history of keloids or photosensitivity

What Can We Treat?

Skin tightening can be performed almost anywhere there is mild to moderate laxity, including:

  • Face: cheeks, jawline, nasolabial folds, under the chin

  • Neck: horizontal lines, crepey texture

  • Body: stomach, arms, thighs, knees

  • Delicate areas: around the eyes (outside the orbital rim)

After Your Appointment

  • Expect mild warmth or pinkness for a few hours

  • Use soothing, hydrating products like moisturizer

  • Wear SPF 30+ daily

  • Stay well-hydrated

  • Avoid hot tubs, saunas, or intense workouts for 24 hours

  • No retinol, acids, or exfoliants for 3-5 days

  • No direct sun exposure for 5-7 days

  • No harsh skincare products for 24 hours
